Big day out tomorrow

My people are getting very excited about going to the Great Greyhound Gathering on Saturday. I hope it is as good a day as last year's Great Greyhound Gathering!

Take your dog to work day

Today is Take your Dog to Work Day. This is an annual fundraising event organised by The Blue Cross, which encourages dog owners to spend more time with their furry friends by taking them into work with them. Unfortunately Alison's boss is allergic to dogs so I can't go to the library. However, I'm here with Paul as he is working from home today. Checkout the photos of some dogs in the workplace.

Keeping my neck warm

When it was snowing I needed my winter coat, but it is a little draughty round the neck. Alison has discovered a knitting pattern for a greyhound snood that will solve this problem. It was created by a lady who has two rescue greyhounds and who blogs at Gorgeous Greyhounds.

Alison has downloaded the pattern but was a bit horrified to discover it is kitted in the round with some cable (this means nothing to me - dogs obviously have more sense than to knit!). Therefore I think it may be some time before she even starts to knit it.... I hope I have it in time for next Winter.

Vet

We visited the vet again today so I could have my annual MOT, two injections, and a pedicure. He said I was in good health but that Paul should brush my teeth every day. He asked the vet nurse to give me a biscuit for being such a good dog.

New basket

Posted by Picasa
It is a year since I came to live here and, to celebrate, my people bought me a comfy new basket. It has taken them a while to get the message that I would like one as I always take over Homer's basket when I go to visit.

Running free in Edinburgh

Another night, another Scottish city. But this morning I got to run around in a very large field in Edinburgh. It was very cold, though!

Christmas presents

I enjoyed Christmas Day: a lovely turkey dinner, a doggie Christmas pudding, a new house collar, a travel drinking bowl, and a squeaky toy. Best of all - lots of TLC from people and we met other greyhounds on a walk.

I see the sea!

My people took me to the beach today. It was stony and the water looked very cold. However, there were lots of interesting smells.
